Once in a while I post things related to libre silicon technology.
Integrated electronics dominate our lives, yet the public can get little knowledge about their internal workings due to the secrecy which is a tradition in this field.
This has implications: We depend on something we cannot fully understand, control nor inspect. Moreover, the technology is often controlled by monopolies.
Open-source or libre silicon technology is not a solution on its own. But a necessity.
